Around Rs 12 crore in cash and nearly 100 kg of gold were found from Yajur Mandir, the personal chamber of late spiritual guru Sathya Sai Baba, at Prashanti Nilayam in Puttaparthi of Anantapur district, a trust official said.
Sathya Sai Baba's ashram Prashanthi Nilayam at Puttaparthi in Andhra Pradesh, which had gone quiet after the death of the spiritual guru on April 24, is back in the news with the trustees finding cash of Rs 11.5 crore, 98 kg of gold and silver articles weighing 307 kilograms from his private room. The money and valuables took 36 hours to count.

Sai Baba's chambers were locked up after he fell ill in late March and was moved to a local hospital.
Sai Baba's private chamber was reopened on Thursday (16-June-2011) by members of the Trust and Satyajit, who was the godman's personal assistant.
Two senior retired Supreme Court judges, along with former chief justice of India P.N. Bhagwati, were also present.
A day after the Sathya Sai Central Trust opened the locks of Yajur Mandir, trust member and Baba's nephew R.J. Ratnakar Friday (17-June-2011) evening announced details of the cash and valuables found inside.
