Multilingual actress Simran will be returning to the Kannada film industry after a long gap to be one of the heroines in the Upendra starrer, God Father which is to be launched on April 25.
The film will be directed by cinematographer Sriram from Tamil film industry.
It is inspired by Ajith and Asin starrer Varalaaru and K Manju says that he has bought the story rights from its director K S Ravikumar.
“We really liked the story. The entire team along with Upendra will be working on a few changes in the script and Upendra himself will pen the dialogues of the movie,” he adds.
Upendra will be seen in three different get ups in the three roles. Knowing Upendra, it would be easy to speculate for movie goers that even this remake will bear the stamp of his creation. All his remakes earlier had incorporated some changes which were strong enough to give a different touch to the films.
