Superstar Rajinikanth was reportedly not feeling well at the pooja held today (April 29 2011) at AVM studios for his upcoming Rana directed by K S Ravikumar.

Rajinikanth has been admitted to St Isabel's Hospital in Chennai after he reported some uneasiness in the sets of Rana. The Superstar was immediately rushed to the hospital where the diagnosis revealed food poisoning.

After his mega hit Endhiran-The Robot, the 60-year-old actor began shooting today for new film Rana opposite Bollywood starlet Deepika Padukone. He is essaying a triple role in the movie.

The star was at the AVM Studios this morning where the pooja and first shot of Rana took place. He reportedly ate his lunch after which he complained of uneasiness.

As per sources, the superstar was suffering from "dehydration and high temperature". He was looking out of sorts at the pooja, where heroine Deepika Padukone, and guests such as mentor K Balachandar, RM Veerapan, Vairamuthu, Mahendran, director KS Ravikumar were present.

Rajinikanth's daughters Aishwarya and Soundarya were also there at the launch.

The doctors attending to Rajinikanth have advised him to take a few days rest. Looks like Rana shooting will be postponed until Rajini gains his health back.
